Radimed had the honor of being featured on the show Histoire de Succès, aired on the TVA network on Friday, February 7, 2025. Hosted by Nicolas Deslauriers, this program highlights the inspiring journeys of entrepreneurs and leaders who contribute to the success of their respective fields. In this episode, Dr. Adel Assaf, CEO of Radimed, and Nathalie Séguin, Radimed’s Marketing Director, shared their vision and commitment to healthcare.
A lifelong passion for healthcare
Since 2001, Dr. Assaf, along with a group of radiologists from the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC), opened the first Radimed clinic at Westmount Square. This medical imaging center, which initially started with 15 radiologists and covered 5,000 square feet, has since expanded to 13,000 square feet. Today, Radimed is a network of seven clinics offering medical imaging services tailored to patients’ needs.
Access to care primarily covered by the RAMQ
Contrary to common misconceptions, the vast majority of examinations offered at Radimed are covered by the RAMQ. Some exams, such as CT scans and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), are private. Accessing these services is simple: a referral from a physician or specialist is required to obtain an exam.
MRI: A revolution in medical imaging
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) has transformed modern medicine. Before its introduction, obtaining precise images of internal structures such as muscles and ligaments was challenging. Today, this technology enables accurate and rapid diagnoses, significantly improving patient care.
Attentive to patients’ needs
Radimed adapts to the needs of local communities by offering differentiated services based on demand at each clinic. This personalized approach is essential for effective access to healthcare, ensuring services are tailored to the realities of each region.
A commitment to professional sports
Radimed has maintained a long-standing partnership with the professional sports industry. For over 15 years, Dr. Assaf, a radiologist at MUHC, and his team have been performing medical imaging exams for players of the Montreal Alouettes and CF Montréal. These collaborations reflect the trust these organizations place in Radimed for the diagnostic follow-up of their athletes.
Radimed continues to innovate and expand its services to provide high-quality care, with the same passion and commitment that have driven its founder since the beginning. To learn more about our journey and dedication, watch the full interview on TVA’s Histoire de Succès.
